Interest Rates Up - Again!

Interest rates are going up again and the Rudd Labor goverment has been quick to point the finger at the out going liberal party. Families are to some extent hurting and loan forclosures are on the rise, rental properties are scarse and the ones that are available are expensive. Australia is having a housing crisis and opinion on the solution is divided, this does not help the growing number of Australians being forced to sell the family home. Does the new goverment have what it takes to sort out this mess?  The best advice they can offer us so far is to “shop around” which is a band aid solution at best.

Sydney Real Estate - Houses - Rentals - Land

Sydney Real Estate - Sydney NSW has a dynamic property market, as the largest city in Australia Sydney has also enjoyed some of  the highest prices and biggest price gains. Buying into the city is an expensive exercise when you compare prices to other parts of Australia. Luxury homes on Sydney Harbour can cost tens of millions of dollars. High prices for units, flats and townhouses makes it hard to break into the market for low income and first home buyers. Land of course is at a premium and  rental returns are on the way up for investors on the back of the current housing affordability problems.
