Buying into the city is an expensive exercise when you compare prices to other parts of Australia. Luxury homes on Sydney Harbour can cost tens of millions of dollars. High prices for units, flats and townhouses makes it hard to break into the market for low income and first home buyers. Land of course is at a premium and  rental returns are on the way up for investors on the back of the current housing affordability problems.
